New Web Site
The new Ballintotis Area Community Council web site is now up and running. It hopefully will become the first point of contact in relation to news and information from the area. The site also offers an opportunity to sign up for regular news updates and messages. At the moment design work has been complete with new features being added gradually. Have a glance by logging on to ballintotis.com.
Remember all information which was compiled by Denis Barry for the old web site is still available via the new site. The old site a large amount of information including comprehensive pictorial coverage of several events that took place over the past ten years or so. These photo albums are sure to become even more nostalgic with the passing of time.
Race Entries Now Open This Tuesday
The web site is also the point of contact to enter this year's Ballintotis '4' Mile Road Race. On line entry is now open this week from Tuesday 14th March via the web site and will remain open until the Monday prior to the race. On line entry allows participants to move through to the Pre Registration Desk on race night. Please spread the word to your running colleagues regarding this option.
The next meeting of the race committee will take place on Monday evening next March 20th at 8.30pm in the Community Centre,. All committee members are asked to attend. An appeal is also sent to the local business community in relation to sponsorship ahead of the race. It takes a considerable amount of money to organise the race, so financial donations and sponsorship of prizes would be greatly appreciated. Please call John on 086-8778182 if you can help. All proceeds from the race go towards the upkeep and development of the Community Centre.
More new Lakeside benches are in production and will be in place in the near future. Money raised from the Table Quiz at the Two Mile Inn last November is financing this project.
A big word of congratulations to all local runners who took part in last Sunday's Ballycotton '10' Mile Road Race. The Fit4Life Club had a huge entry with some great performances being recorded. Training takes place as usual this Thursday.
