Recycling Collection

Ballintotis NS are holding a fundraising Recycling Clothing Collection  on today Wednesday 29th March. Bags of clean unwanted rewearable clothes  – curtains, bed linens, hand bags, belts and paired shoes may be brought to the school before 9.30am. Your support will be much appreciated.

Community Clean Up

A clean up of our local area will take place on Monday week April 10th beginning at 7pm, organised by Ballintotis Area Community Council.  The organizers will be looking for all householders in the Ballintotis area to come out and give 30 minutes in their own locality. Many hands make light work - don't just let it to the  same people all the time.

Road Race

The Road Race is now creeping up with just three weeks to go to the big event on Thursday April 20th.  On line entry remains open on until Monday April 17th.  The countdown is certainly underway amongst the running fraternity as reflected by the numbers out on the course over the past weekend and earlier this week.

Remember there will be a trial run around the course for members of local clubs on Tuesday April 11th at 7pm. Light refreshments will be served afterwards.

In the meantime the organizing committee continue to meet on a regular basis- sponsorship of prizes and cash donations to cover the cost of running the event are still required. Please call 08608778182. Next meeting is on Monday next April 3rd at 8.30pm.

In conjunction with the race - the usual Walk will also take place- beginning at 6.30pm on April 20th.

The Ballintotis Fit4Life will  conclude their current training season in Castlemarty on this Thursday March 30th. From next week onwards training will move to Ballintotis, where runners are asked to assemble each TUESDAY at 7pm in the Community Centre for summer training. Next week also sees the Emer Casey 5K Road Race take place in Youghal at 8pm on Thursday April 6th and Ballintotis club members are urged to support Youghal AC in this venture.

Finally, the Ballintotis Race Committee wish to extend to a sincere thanks to Ballintotis Fit4Life Club for their continued support and sponsorship.
