Congratulations to the members of Ballinttois Fit4Life Club who completed last Sunday's Dublin City Marathon.
They couldn't have wished for better conditions. It was perfect day for over 16,000 participants. From Ballintotas Fit4Life Paul O Connell and Brendan McGrath broke the 3.30 barrier so great running there. TJ Carew was not too far behind them and Simon Davies had his pb in his 3rd Dublin Marathon breaking 4 hours, with Sean Cooney just a few minutes after him. Also great to see Shaun Torguis, Ballintotas Fit 4 Life run his first Irish marathon
Everyone else did great with a lot of marathon pb's. Also we have to say a huge thanks to the local supporters who encouraged the runners along the route. Our own Ballintotis supporters along with Midleton , Ballinacurra, Carrigtwohill and Cobh. Overall there was a wonderful atmosphere at this year's event.
Finally, Noreen Cashman wishes to thank all those who sponsored her to run the Marathon in aid of Ballintotis National School raising over 1,000 euro in the process - a fantastic achievement. Well done Noreen!
