Congratulations to highly talented young local soccer player Christopher O'Connor who was recently selected on the Irish International Under 15 Squad for the International against Poland. Christopher has from early age shown fantastic ability on the playing fields and is a young player with real eye for goals. His recognition at International level is a true reflection of his outstanding ability and we wish him every success in the years ahead.
Annual Table Quiz On Friday Week
There is just over a week to go now to the Annual Quiz organised on behalf of Ballintotis Area Community Council which will be held at the Two Mile Inn on Friday November 24th at 8.30pm. Please get your team of 3 or 4 together and join in the fun of what is always a very enjoyable social occasion. Help is always greatly appreciated in terms of donations for prizes - so If you can assist give Dominic Knowles, Gerry Smyth, Sean Carr or Ivor Knowles a call.

Louise Casey P.R.O of Ballintotis Fit 4 Life Club has been in touch with all the details regarding this year's Relay Run on December 27th and also the club's pre Christmas Social Night.
"This year we will hold our annual Ballintotis Fit 4 Life Fun Relay Run, on December 27th at 10:00am from Ballintotis Community Hall.
This is a fantastic event and a great morning for families to get together to run off some of that turkey. Each year we chose a nominated charity and this year we have decided on BUMBLEance. BUMBLEance is Ireland’s National and the world’s first interactive ambulance service designed specifically for children. https://www.bumbleance.com/

Rules of the Race
No watches or any timing devices what so ever, possession will mean disqualification for the team
No mobile phones
No persons under 14 years allowed to run
€10 per person, teams of 4. Team €40. All money collected this year will go to a nominated charity, this year we have chosen BUMBLEance. This is a fantastic charity and does incredible work for kids in the country. https://www.bumbleance.com/
Money will be collected morning of the race, one person from each team will come up to the paying desk and pay. No money will be accepted from individual people
Team will estimate there winning time and team nearest their time will be deemed winners
Estimated team time and not individual time
Time cannot exceed one/1 hour
Prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd and also prize for the best festive dress.
Friday December 8th December we’re going to be meeting in Cliffords Bar, Castlemartyr. On the night we’ll be making the draw of the names for the Relay Fun Run. Casual Christmas night, everyone welcome.
Caretaker Positions Vacant
Ballintotis Area Community Council has a Vacancy for a Caretaker Position at the Community Centre. This position is under the TUS Scheme operated by SECAD and is for 19.5 hours per week. Please note applicants must be in receipt of Social Welfare for a year unbroken to be eligible. Anybody interested is asked to please call 087-6433948.
Meeting To Form New Walking Club
Recently a meeting was held in the Community Centre with a view to setting up a new Walking Club in Ballintotis. The first steps were taken with the formation of a committee and in the near future it is hoped to announce plans for the group's inaugural walk in Ballintotis. There is just over two weeks to go now to the 2nd Annual Ballintotis Festive Fayre which will take place on Sunday December 3rd from 11am to 4pm at the Community Centre. To book your stand please call John on 086-8778182. The Fayre is themed around Christmas gift ideas and already has created plenty of interest since last year's inaugural event. There is no charge for stands, but just a few spaces now remain- so don't delay.
