Festive Fayre This Sunday

It's all systems go for the second Annual Ballintotis Festive Fayre which takes place on this Sunday December 3rd. The Community Centre has been a busy place over the past week with lots of varied events being held at the venue including a Weekend Yoga Camp. But now all the focus is on the Festive Fayre with over 30 exhibitors due to be in attendance from mid morning. The Fayre has again attracted a great variety of stand holders, all of whom have promised to provide us with plenty of seasonal gift ideas.

Remember it all begins at 10.45am on Sunday and runs right through to 4pm. Admission is free so spread to word to friends and family and help make it another very successful Ballintotis event.

Quiz Night

A word of thanks to all who attended and all those who helped to make the 19th Annual Ballintotis Table Quiz another very successful venture. Almost 20 teams took part with as usual a broad mix of questions set by Quiz Master Tim O'Sullivan. In the end, there was the usual close battle for honours before the team led by Midleton's Denis Fitzgerald came out on top. There were prizes aplenty thanks to the generous sponsorship of members of the local business community ensuring that many of the participants left with something to show for their evening's entertainment. Well done to Dominick Knowles and his colleagues for organising the event yet again - here's to number 20 next year!

New Walking Club - Takes To The Road

The sun shone gloriously in Ballintotis last Saturday afternoon as the Ballintotis Area Community Council Walking Club set off on their maiden journey. The well known 4 mile trail route (same as the Road Race) was familiar for most of the participants who were part of the historic day. Well done to Martin Hackett for setting up this new club and here's to many years of happy walking. The next Walk is planned for early in the New Year, but in the meantime the traditional Ballintotis "Lap of the Lake" will again be held this year as usual on December 27th, beginning at 2.30pm (and not 2pm as in previous years)

More information regarding the new Walking Club is available by calling Martin Hackett on 086-0890841
