This is basically a "Whats App" group that gives us a bit more security especially during the winter months. It means that anybody who has a smart phone can access the group by joining up. Thereby instant communication is received by all members regarding security matters in our area. It's up to the members to keep a watchful eye should they notice something or somebody unusual in the area. By means of an instant message everybody is in the know. To join the group please register locally with Ger Broderick. Contact Ger on 087-7716888 with your name and number - remember you must have access to "Whats App" to join the group.
Elsewhere those in attendance at the AGM heard reports from the Chairman Kevin Cronin and Secretary Tom O'Brien. The Treasurer's report outlined the details of the past 12 months. This is the final year of three of the present Council with elections due to take place at the end of this year. Meantime, the next meeting of the Community Council takes place at the end of this month.
